If you know me, you know I’m not into fluff. I’m into the real, the raw, and the things most people avoid talking about—especially in business.
So when Caitlyn (our VP at The Tox and someone who’s become one of my close friends) and I sat down to record our first episode of what we’re calling LeaderSIP, we knew we weren’t going to do it the typical way.
This isn’t a highlight reel. This is the unfiltered stuff—what leadership really looks like when you’re running a business, raising kids, making mistakes, learning as you go, and trying to keep your sanity intact.
We’re calling it LeaderSIP because yes, we’re sipping coffee (or wine, depending on the day), but also because we’re spilling the stuff we usually keep to ourselves.
Things like:
What we wish we knew before leading a team
Our biggest professional worsts (you’ll hear that phrase a lot)
Balancing motherhood and business without losing yourself
And the behind-the-scenes of building something with people you trust (and sadly people you don’t)
Our first episode is dropping soon, and we talk about our personal bests, professional worsts, and how two girls from the same small town (who weren’t even really friends back then) ended up building side by side.
I’ll be sharing each new episode here on Substack, along with deeper reflections, behind-the-scenes notes, and things we didn’t say out loud during the recording—but probably should have.
More soon.
xo,
Courtney
