NYC Takeout Hit List: Dinner Edition
Let’s be honest — between growing a business, raising two kids, and trying to have an actual life, there are nights I’m not cooking. And while I love a great dinner out, takeout has become a love language in our house.
So here it is — my go-to NYC takeout rotation. These are the spots I order from frequently (and unapologetically). They’re consistent, crave-worthy, and give main character energy... even in a bathrobe, a Tox bathrobe ofc.
🍜 Philippe Chow
Iconic. Reliable. Always hits. The spicy velvet chicken is a must. I don’t care how many times I’ve had it — it still feels special. If I’m craving something that feels elevated but comforting, this is the move. They sometimes take it off the menu- do trust I call them and beg them to make it for me. They always do!

🍕 Pasquale Jones
Because sometimes you need a fancy pizza moment without leaving your apartment. The little neck clam pie? Life-changing. This is my “glass of red and cozy up on the couch” vibe.

🍜 UpOn The Palace
Szechuan that delivers. Literally and figuratively. The spice level is no joke, and that’s exactly why I love it. When I want something bold and flavorful, this is top of the list. The truffle fried rice- unmatched.

🍝 Caffe Napoli
Little Italy gem that I’ll always be loyal to. It feels like old New York in the best way. Their pasta portions are perfect for sharing… or not. Zero judgment here. My kids love this place and it’s literally delivered in 10 minutes.

I’ll do a lunch edition soon, and maybe even a kids-approved one — because Blu definitely has opinions. But for now, these are my dinner ride-or-dies.
If you’ve never ordered from these, let this be your sign.
And if you have a NYC favorite I need to know about, reply and tell me — I’m always down to add to the rotation.
